Joni Mitchell's Blue: A 40th Anniversary Celebration is a live celebration of this seminal album, created and performed by the New York-based singer/songwriter collective Chicks With Dip.   This concert will feature performances of all the songs from the original "Blue" album,  plus the artists will feature their own songs, inspired by Joni Mitchell.

“The idea for the Blue show sprang up organically last summer,” says Carolann Solebello, longtime Chick and former member of female Americana trio Red Molly. “We were discussing Joni Mitchell and what her songwriting has meant to each of us, and since we’re always on the lookout for ways to collaborate, the 40th anniversary of Joni’s masterpiece seemed the perfect opportunity.”

Scheduled performers will include Honor Finnegan, Allison Tartalia , Elisa Peimer , Sharon Goldman , Carolann Solebello , Victoria Lavington , Anna Dagmar , Allison Scola , Meg Braun , Karyn Oliver ,Catherine Miles , Cheryl Prashker .

Chicks With Dip is an informal collective of female singer/songwriters in the New York City area who share a mutual respect and who enjoy each other's company and the pleasure of good conversation, good songs, and good dip. The Chicks have been meeting regularly for nearly a decade.

NOTE:  We've received a few phone calls asking the same question. In case you were wondering, Joni Mitchell will NOT be appearing at this concert.  It is a tribute concert to her album and it will be performed by a group made up of some of the finest singer-songwriters in the New York area.

Of course, we extend an invitation to Ms. Mitchell - we will gladly save a seat if she would like to join us!!  :)
